Sep, 2016
In August, 10 Japanese and 10 Vietnamese students traveled to Ho Chi Minh City and Dalat, Vietnam to participate in the Vietnam-Japan Exchange Project (VJEP) 2016. The number of applicants in Vietnam was overwhelming (200) and the acceptance rate was 10 times higher than the previous program, VJYE. However, we also feel bad for those who were not selected.
The VJEP was a new program and took on many new challenges, so there were many unexpected events, and both participants and coordinators struggled to cope with them. There were times when the discussion turned into a big debate between Vietnam and Japan, but this big debate turned out to be the trigger for "true international understanding," and when it was over, it was a huge success. When the event was over, it was a great success and people were already asking, "When's the next one? When the event was over, it was a great success. Mr. Nguyen Duc (known as Viet-chan and Duc-chan in Japan), a victim of Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War, also gave a lecture, and was thankfully told that he had never seen such highly motivated students.
The students' reports are posted on the blog. We hope that this blog will give you a better understanding of the VJEP.
