AAEE Team Mero Sathi Event "Mero Sathi Project: Students' Challenge to Foster Global Change" a Triumph!

The AAEE Team Mero Sathi event concluded with great success!

On Friday, August 10th, AAEE hosted the "Mero Sathi Project" at JICA Chikyu Hiroba, inviting students to embrace the challenge of instigating global change. While the event was relatively modest in scale, it attracted participation from diverse high schools.

The event encompassed two primary segments, tailored to the participants' engagement:

The first segment centered on the participants delving into the challenges presented by the Mero Sathi Project - a real reconstruction initiative executed by AAEE in Nepal. These discussions rekindled contemplation about the significance and complexity of meeting local needs and cooperating to aid Nepal's reconstruction, specifically through goat shelters. The high school students showcased insightful opinions, reflecting their astute analysis and cohesive stances within their groups.

The second segment entailed group discussions on the theme "Key Considerations for Collaborative Endeavors." Designed to stimulate contemplation about seemingly simple yet often overlooked aspects of everyday life, the discussions yielded a plethora of original perspectives. The high school students' wealth of imaginative, uninhibited opinions was truly impressive, exemplifying the efficacy of each participant's learning journey.

As the event concluded, AAEE student assistant Kato summarized its significance. He emphasized the importance of broadening one's sphere of diversity, underscoring how community and companions profoundly influence perspectives and thought processes. Kato's insights, beneficial even to a college junior like me, resonated well with his experience as an AAEE assistant while concurrently being a university student. His multifaceted experiences and encounters led to a more extensive worldview.

This event not only showcased presenters' accounts but also fostered mutual learning and exchange between participants. We believe that the event illuminated AAEE's endeavors and catalyzed interest in our programs. Our deep gratitude extends to JICA for event sponsorship, all attendees, and supporters who facilitated the event.

Looking ahead, Team Mero Sathi envisions extending our reach to high schools, delivering classes on a larger scale that harness AAEE's unique capabilities. We're committed to disseminating information about AAEE's activities via our website and Facebook page, inviting your collaboration and support.
