AAEE President Akinori Seki Appointed as Special Foreign Advisor in Binh Phuoc Province, Vietnam! (2)
October 31, Day 2
The morning in Vietnam was early, with a meeting with Binh Phuoc Province government officials at 7:00 a.m. Before 8:00 a.m., the special assembly, which is held once every five years, began. The meeting, held at the People's Council of Binh Phuoc Province, was broadcast live by a TV station and was attended by more than 500 people from various organizations in the huge hall. The solemn, formal and unique atmosphere of the meeting reflected the socialist nature of the country. Mr. Guan was the first foreigner to be formally invited to the Federation Congress.
In the afternoon was the purpose of this visit, the inauguration ceremony for the advisors. At the inauguration ceremony, Representative Guan was officially received by Mr. Trần (Permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Phuoc Province Party Committee and Chairman of Binh Phuoc Province People's Council) and Mr. Huỳnh (Member of Binh Phuoc Province Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Province People's Council). Mr. Huỳnh (Member of Binh Phuoc Province Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Binh Phuoc Province People's Council) officially appointed me as "Special Advisor of Binh Phuoc Province Union of Friendly Organizations".
In the evening, I was invited by Mr. Nguyễn (Chairman of Binh Phuoc Province Union of Friendly Organizations) and other Union officials to enjoy dinner.
Throughout the day, I strongly felt the rarity, gravity, and expectation of having a foreigner as an advisor to a province in Vietnam. Both sides made continuous efforts to build a relationship of trust before this appointment. The fact that it has now come to fruition is both a goal and a start.
The appointment of the advisor has been widely reported on TV and in newspapers.
