On Monday, December 9th, AAEE held a briefing session for the February Mero Sathi Program, "Your NORMAL is NOT NORMAL - Feel and Learn Diversity in Nepal," at JICA Chikyu Hiroba. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to JICA Chikyu Hiroba for their support and to all the students who showed interest in this program.
In this briefing session, Ms. Chisa Okayama, a participant of the 2017 Mero Sathi Program, gave a lecture on what she felt and learned through the Nepal Program. She also gave an overview of the Mero Sathi Project to be held in February.
AAEE student assistant Natsuki Asaoka served as the host and facilitator.
First, AAEE President Akinori Seki greeted the participants, and then AAEE student assistant Momoka Miura explained the outline and philosophy of AAEE.
In the lecture by Chisa Okayama, she asked, "What is your perspective?
Ms. Okayama talked about the changes in her perspective through the program in Nepal. She also mentioned that there are two types of happiness, and that most of the happiness in Nepal happens by chance, which allowed us to think about happiness in Japan and Nepal.
The February program was explained by Tomonao Kobayashi and Saki Yamaguchi, participants of the August program. Tomonao Kobayashi and Saki Yamaguchi, who participated in the August program, explained the February program to the participants, informing them of the details of the program that had been finalized and conveying the appeal of the program with their impressions of the August program. We were told that what is normal for us is not normal for Nepal. I hope you will enjoy the experience and feel a lot of diversity. I hope you will enjoy this experience where you can feel a lot of diversity.
After that, we had free time to have a discussion with everyone who participated in the briefing session. We were very happy that everyone was interested in Nepal, and it was a very meaningful meeting.
The AAEE student assistants will be working hard to make the February program successful. I hope that everyone who will be participating in the program will say, "It was fun! I'm glad I joined! We will continue to work hard to make the program a success. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who participated in the event, and I hope that they were able to gain a better understanding of the activities of the AAEE.
