Jun, 2024
We are pleased to announce that AAEE will host an international conference in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, together with Thu Dau Mot University on June 21-22, 2024. This conference will gather educators and government officials from both within and outside of Vietnam to discuss the role of universities in a rapidly developing economy amid the globalization era.
Binh Duong Province, located in the southeastern part of Vietnam, is a key province in the southern economic zone centered around Ho Chi Minh City. The invitation to hold this international conference in Binh Duong comes as a recognition of our efforts over the past decade. We are committed to making every effort to meet the expectations placed upon us.
From our organization, three members, including our president, Professor Akinori Seki (Professor at Tokyo Keizai University's Center for General Education), will be attending the conference. On the first day, Professor Seki will deliver a keynote speech titled "The Reality and Challenges of Multicultural Conviviality in Japan-Towards Fostering Multicultural Competence among the Youth-," where he will share insights on the implications of Japan's multicultural coexistence policies for Vietnam.
Additionally, our student assistant, Kyoka Shimoda (a second-year student at the College of International Studies, University of Tsukuba), will participate in the International English Presentation Contest held on the second day.
